Virtual individual and group EMDR consultation is available for EMDR therapists who are:

Purity Culture-Focused EMDR Group Consultation

This focused EMDR consultation group is for EMDR-trained therapists looking to refine EMDR skills to treat clients’ sexual dysfunction, relationship concerns, and other intrapersonal conflicts stemming from growing up in evangelical purity culture.

Participants should come prepared to discuss relevant cases. Groups are capped at 8 people, allowing intimate conversation and personalized feedback.

Participants will receive a complimentary copy of my “Purity Culture Cognitions List” and “Purity Culture Blocking Beliefs Questionnaire.”

Groups are 90 minutes long and only $85 per person per group.

Meet Erin, Your EMDRIA Approved Consultant™

Hello! I’m Erin Pritchard, EMDRIA Approved Consultant™ and Certified EMDR Therapist. EMDR has been my primary treatment modality in a variety of settings over the last 8+ years. I’ve provided 800+ EMDR sessions to 200+ clients (and counting!). Learn more about my professional background here.

I specialize in EMDR Intensives, EMDR + Sex Therapy, EMDR for Purity Culture Recovery, and IFS-informed EMDR. I also developed resources for EMDR therapists to use in their own clinical practice.

As an Approved Consultant™, I work with EMDR therapists seeking EMDRIA certification, or as-needed consultation for EMDR therapists looking to gain confidence in their skills and seek input on tough cases.

Basic Training Requirements*

Certification Requirements

  • 50 EMDR hours with at least 25 different clients

  • 12 Advanced EMDRIA CEUs

  • Total of 20 hours of consultation

    • 15 hours can be with a CIT, the other 5 must be with an EMDRIA Approved Consultant

    • At least 10 of these hours must be individual consultation; up to 10 can be group

EMDR Consultant in Training™ Requirements*

  • Certification in EMDR Therapy

  • Complete CIT Declaration Form

  • 300 EMDR hours with at least 75 different clients

  • 12 Advanced EMDRIA CEUs

  • 20 hours of Consultation-of-Consultation by an EMDR Consultant™

Definitions and Limits of Use for EMDRIA Credentials

EMDR Certified Therapist – EMDR Certification is a credential for EMDR trained clinicians who are licensed to practice independently. Those who become EMDR Certified have used EMDR with a certain number of clients, obtained additional consultation on their use of EMDR with clients, obtained recommendations from peers in the field and completed advanced coursework (continuing education) in EMDR.

Consultant in Training (CIT)™ – A Consultant in Training™ is an EMDR Certified Therapist who has completed the CIT™ declaration process, upholds the terms and agreements and is actively working towards becoming an Approved Consultant. The CIT™ is expected to work with at least five different consultees, three of whom have already completed the EMDR basic training. The CIT™ can provide a maximum of 15 hours of consultation to any one single consultee who is working towards EMDRIA Certification. A CIT™ can assist with the practicum and/or consultation portion of the EMDR basic training at the discretion of the EMDR Trainer/Training Provider.

EMDR Consultant™ – An EMDR Consultant™ is an EMDR Certified Therapist who has matriculated through the Consultant in Training™ (CIT) process. EMDR Consultants™ can provide consultation hours to clinicians who are working towards becoming EMDR Certified and can provide consultation-of-consultation hours to CITs™. An EMDR Consultant™ can assist with the practicum and/or consultation portion of the EMDR basic training at the discretion of the EMDR Trainer/Training Provider.

EMDR Approved Trainer – An EMDR Approved Trainer is an EMDR Consultant™ who has submitted an application, been reviewed and approved, and is designated as an Approved Trainer by EMDRIA. Only EMDR Approved Trainers may offer basic training recognized by the EMDR International Association.
